Jimmie has studied and taken workshops with Michael Shane Neal, Christine Pilkinton, Igor Babailov, Dawn Whitelaw, Charles Brindley and others. Jimmie paints realistically in the tradition of the Old Masters and oils are her medium of choice. She paints still lifes, landscapes, and especially enjoys rendering portraits.

Neal won the Portrait Society’s 2001 International Portrait Competition.  Whitelaw is a former Lipscomb University art instructor who is nationally known.  Babailov is the internationally known portrait and figurative Russian artist who has painted popes and presidents, as well as many celebrities.
